Apparatus and Equipment

The East Bridgewater Fire Department is a full-service emergency response organization committed to protecting lives, property, and the community.  We provide fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention and inspections, and public education.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  The department is organized into four full-time groups, each led by a shift commander and including six firefighters when fully staffed.  Our shift commanders and firefighters are certified to provide emergency medical care as Emergency Medical Technicians or Paramedics.

During normal business hours, our administrative team includes the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Fire Prevention Officer, and Administrative Assistant.

The department currently operates three engines, one tower ladder, two front-line ambulances (when staffing permits), with a third ambulance maintained in reserve, two wildland/brush trucks, a rescue boat, and an inflatable boat.  Collectively, these resources enable us to respond to fire, medical, rescue, hazardous, wildland, and water-related emergencies.

We are committed to providing the highest possible level of service through continual training, education, equipment maintenance, and professional development.  Our goal is to remain prepared, responsive, and dedicated to the safety and well-being of everyone we serve.
