East Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments Respond After 10-Year-Old Involved in Bicycle Accident

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Police Chief Paul O’Brien and Fire Chief Timothy Harhen report that the East Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments responded to a bicycle accident involving a juvenile this afternoon.

At approximately 2:40 p.m., East Bridgewater police officers and firefighters responded to David Lane off Washington Street for a report of a juvenile who had fallen off his bicycle. Upon arrival, firefighters located a 10-year-old boy who who had suffered facial trauma as a result of the fall.

The child was treated by paramedics at the scene before being flown by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and he is currently alert and stable.
