Outdoor Burning Ban

With numerous wildfires affecting the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the forecast for minimal if any substantial precipitation for the next week, the Fire Chief/Forest Warden has banned all outdoor burning until further notice. Residents are asked to use extreme caution when cooking outside, even with a grill. One flying ember falling on extremely dry vegetation can cause a wildfire to start and grow very quickly. If you cause a wildfire, you may be held accountable for the cost of suppression, plus a fine and potential imprisonment per Massachusetts General Law Chapter 48, Section 13. Hopefully we will get some much needed rain soon. Thank you for your understanding.
